Lisa Foster (Dec '16)

Lisa Foster (Dec ’16) is pursuing an MSW (Community Empowerment and Program Development concentration) and MPH (Health Promotion and Behavior concentration) with expected graduation in December 2016.  She earned a BA in Psychology from North Carolina State University in May 2014.

Ms. Foster completed her social work foundation field placement at Community Connection of Northeast Georgia where she had the opportunity to work on a community health needs assessment for 17 counties.  Additionally, she was trained as a 2-1-1 information and referral specialist and co-facilitated a restorative justice group for young adults.  Ms. Foster hopes to complete her integrated social work and public health field placement at an agency in Ghana.

In her free time, Ms. Foster enjoys playing with her dog, hiking, doing yoga, traveling, and going on mission trips.
