Mumbi Mwaura, MSW, MPH recently accepted a position at the University of Georgia as Graduate School Recruiter. In this position, she is responsible for recruitment
of graduate students both domestically and internationally, with a
special emphasis on students from historically underrepresented
backgrounds. She will providing ongoing communication with potential students
from the initial point of contact through enrollment and graduation,
and includes the coordination of recruitment and retention events. Ms. Mumbi comes to this position with experience in graduate student recruitment - while pursuing her graduate degree, she worked as a graduate assistant in the Office of Outreach and
Diversity where she helped recruit prospective graduate students.
Ms. Mwaura will also maintain her position as a contracted clinician at Project Family, LLC.
Ms. Mwaura graduated from the University of Georgia in December 2014 with a Master of Social Work - Clinical Concentration, and a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion and Behavior.
